Vancouver's Chinatown

Vancouver's Chinatown was recognised as a National Historic Site of Canada in 2011. It is one of Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods, home to many important cultural heritage buildings. The site where Chinatown stands today was used for generations by local First Nations people. The path of Carrall Street was once a historic portage route from False Creek to the Burrard Inlet.
